Hi All,
Do Cathay and other HK based airlines still require passes in all ATPL theory exams?
I have ATPL under the CAA UK Military accreditation scheme, with Air Law, Perf, Mass & Balance and Operational Procs.
Do Cathay still like Ex Mil pilots?
Cheers,
RB QC

Does anyone know the answer to this one. I am in the same boat.
On the web application you have to state that you have all 14 exams, so technically with a mil bridging package you cannot proceed.
I did know that previously Cathay would take mil pilots with the bridging package, and during their training they would do the other missing exams, to comply with the Chinese regulations.
Now I am not sure?
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Even if you have them all you will still have to take approx. 5 theory exams your first 2 weeks in Hong Kong.

They'll take anyone right now. See the other thread about going straight to the second interview...

Good luck if you go for it, but if you apply to CX do it with your eyes open. It's like the military of about 20-25 years ago, stuck in a time warp. There are other places where the grass looks greener at the moment.
