Solely of academic interest, how are post counts calculated?

Mine seems to go up and down for no apparent reason?

It would seem to be mainly down at the moment!

Question asked of admin.

Maybe when you reach 999,999, the meter resets itself!:hmm:

Never experienced them going down, but some forums e.g. Jet Blast don't count - would be interested to know why. A post is a post is a post - no?

No - it is widely understood that a post in JB is inane drivel, so does not qualify! :}

Tolerated, but just barely - JB is just a delayed-action chat room.

If a thread is deleted to which you contributed, then your post count will go down.

I understand JB etc.. but mine WAS changing by up to 15 some days IIRC - now seems to have reset to zero anyway. That will teach me to 'complain' to the powers that be.

With all due respect SD, that´s a bit of a steaming bovine heap.
Jet Blast was one of the very first forums on PPRuNe and Danny wants it there.
He always has.

Even if some other people ´barely tolerate` it......... :rolleyes:

Perhaps someone should explain the concept of "Aunty Mary's winnings". ;)

Juud,

As you seem to spend most of your time in JB, you are obviously qualified to know!

I assume that you are also privy to the admins forum and thus fully informed?
