Best Airline to Johansburg via Dubai

I'm travelling down to Joburg for work in a couple of weeks, and wanted to make a stopover in Dubai for the weekend, I know Emirates will stopover there, but any other recommendations.

I have to fly down the back unfortunately, as company rules force steerage on us.

I am on DXB-JNB next week with Emirates. I will let you know how it goes. Equipment is 777-300er which has somewhat cramped 3-4-3 in econ, which I don't like personally. You might be better with SAA's econ product. Emirates has very competitive deals on business (and indeed F) with this route if you can persuade the bean counters to invest a little more in your well being.

Try Etihad via Abu Dhabi..... they provide transport into Dubai.

Well I've gone for Emirates in the end, as they provide a decent connection down to Johannesburg.

As for Dubai itself, anything worth looking at while I'm there, as I'm considering moving there with work, any views on working there?

Do they serve alcohol on those flights, just a thought as it's ramadam?
