Greetings PPruner's, How is your staff travel?

Thought it was time to compile an accurate picture of the staff travel deals, all the different companies offer their crews.
Obviously any posting here will be of use to those who need some ammo to negotiate better deals within their own companies.

We only really need one contribution from each company so if you are joining in please start off by indicating the company, whos staff travel deal you are describing, please also indicate if non ID90 Jumseat travel is available.

Right I'll Kick off.

GB Airways (BA franchise partner)

A similar scheme to BA but not quite the same deal. Eligibility for Employee after six months, ID 90 travel for employee and Companion or Spouce. Companion can be changed one a year. Once married no companions allowed, and parents do not qualify. If Unmarried, parents get ID80 on GB Air routes only, we are told they are firm, in reality they are standby. Price of an concession ticket on GB routes £30-£40, plus taxes. Walk up self ticketing Not available. Staff purchase of upgrade Not available, Not allowed to ask for upgrade. Buddy passes for Friends and family Not available, except when airline has low loads. Ease of getting tickets NO. Without a doubt staff are made to grovel to get tickets issued, some even fly with low cost compettiors rather than bother. Jumpseat usually available as a courteousy to other airline personnel who hold ID ticket and politely request. Unticketed walk up request Not available. Purchase of ID 90 or similar ticket from ticket desk in airport, Not available.

BA staff frequently get upgraded on our routes, where our own staff are put in the back when there are other empty seats in the front, Ba personnel can self ticket on a weekend to fly same day on a GB air flight, GB staff cannot.

END.

Hi guys, am working for GO

On day of joining eligible for Go staff travel which is standy by anywhere for £25 return. Also interlines with KLM uk / Buzz and I think Ryanair, We also get BA staff concessions as well, though we are pretty low down on the seniority list. So thats the ID90. Recently went LHR - JFK and got upgrade to new club world..( great). also been EDI, VCE, PRG and MAD. had no problems getting on although can be a bit nerve wracking being given your boarding card 10 mins prior to departure.
