Thumbs up go to the Managment BN CC(good Start) and the Govt of Bahrain now GF Owner.
Goodwill was shown from them and it is time Pilots show them that we will give them the return so the Golden Falcon (which has laid some Gold eggs) will continue soaring.

Any questions Yesterday? Only when is it going to Start.Thats the way to do things In Booming Economies.

I Volunteer to Present the GF Road show in Qatar,Abudhabi and Dubai.

We should also not forget that they didn't really have a choice here, especially with 90+ resignation...

I was happy also to see that the cabin crew got also a good pay rise, some of them having a big smile.

After all we are a team, and I don't like to be always the only spoiled kid in the family...

Probabaly the best ever package in Gulf Air's history and offcourse very close to competitor's packages. I am relieved and very happy that management addressed this important issue. Amazing what numbers can do to boost crew morale.

Just an uncertainty, when will this be implemented?

It goes to highlight the inadequacies of past management, cutting off the annual increment and not addressing Housing, Schooling etc.
All it has done has caused alot of resentment and unhappiness and forced alot of good drivers to leave.
The package is good and goes some way to getting the pilots back onside.
I only hope the board can get the basics right and define what product they wish to bring to the market.:suspect:

Don’t fool yourselves

They only are giving you money not because they are genuine company and love you. They only are bribing you so they are not forced to ground airplanes. End of reality.

They knew that housing allowance was not covering the cost.
They knew we had to put so much from our salaries to just pay the schooling.
They knew our base was lower than the market standard.
They knew guys with 20 years loyalty to Gulf Air were not being appreciated.
And they knew they could give this package 6 months ago.

All of a sudden “thumbs up to the management?” come on...pilots are above average intelligent, use it for god’s sakes.

Be real.

Be Real?

Ok, GF has lost and is lossing millions. They Knew (as you say) that something had to be done for the work force to stay. And guess what..... they did it! Schooling, housing, basic... all looked at and adjusted.

Its not cause GF loves me and is promising a great future for me and my family, but its a response to a crisis. (and pretty good one considering the financial crisis as well). What's not real about that?

I'm not saying GF is going to reach the top of the airline industry just because it gave raises, but its a start for the restructuring.

CI100 and HF, I see your both on the massalama list. Well, I'll be sure to gather up a few fa's by the ops door to say.."Sukran, massalama. Thank you for flying Gulf Air"

Good luck to you in the greener pastures of the UAE.:ok:

They always know it. It happens here and everywhere. Many on their own uselessness, many others because they just don't care or just don't know what to do and few who really know what they are doing, and when they do they are fired because they are doing their job:ugh:. They only change when there is no other way (out)...

Some times you have to read some posts twice, to make sure that what you thought you read was, in fact, correct.

In all Religions and even people Who do not Have Reilgion all believe That it took Six days to build the World and that ROME wasnt built in one Day.
It all started with there being someone trying to do something .
All human beings even if they are CEO or others still need the pat in the Back to be encouraged to move forward. So lets do it guys.
Start with minor things welcome guests with nice PA Show our Passengers you are proud of Flying the GOLDEN FALCON.
This is what other Competitors teach.Even if you get S... Still they say they are the best.(MESS)
Stop Bit,,,,ng around about all.Give credit to who deserve it.
All airlines are threathend that pilots will leave with strong Union Back ups .
Anybody can show me in Aviation a payrise like this even after Big Union flights strikes and people resigning.??
Western companis are suffering from same situation but all they do is sack more train more.GF decided differently.
This was a Positive humane and generous move from GF and it HAS to be Applauded THREE CHEERS :ok::ok::ok::D:D:D

It seems to me that quite a number of you measure loyalty with the size of your paycheck.

Prior to the pay increase he also wrote.........

I will work twice as hard as he does if company offers me too 20,000 BD per month. he is using his assisstants to run the show as he is totally lost.

This was regarding Mr Naf

Please dont get me wrong I'm not attacking you my friend, I'm mearly stating that I think you may have different priorities than myself.

My decision to leave was based on the fact that this management is utterly incompetent and not only will they not turn Gulf Air around they will eventually destroy it.

They were brought in to reduce costs, and return the company to profitability. Their first actions were to threaten the pilots with sackings which had an eventual effect of over 170 resignations. Now the only way to try and salvage the situation is to increase salaries by almost double the pre Dose/Naf time. Outcome, they have brought the company to a much worse financial situation because of their bad managerial skills.

Do I trust them, NOT IN THEIR WILDEST DREAMS.

Am I optimistic they can drive the company forward, NOT A CHANCE
