42 months friend subject to 5000 hrs and clean personal & training records. If you meet the above criteria, you automatically get selected without any discrimination. This is one of the positive things in QR Flt Ops.

ugrade requirement is 3 years(36 months) and 5000h.(theoric)
Donīt known about this 42 months..?
But of course the bigger the company become, and the slower the expansion rate is, this may take more than 3 years before you may be selected...
Fleet "upgrade":...i would say around 2 years..variable..depends of the need, and depends as well of the number of people who doesnīt want to move to 330 or 340...

In Theory ( OM Part A chapter 8)

Time before being considered for upgrade:

3 years ( to count from day of final line check ) and min TT of 5000hrs heavy jet.

Time before fleet transfer:

2 years minimum ( new rule )

In real life....

QR has , as of today, 840 pilots of which +/- 450 are FOs. Currently the upgrade capacity is 4/month on A320 en 2/month on A330. (72/year)
Do the calculations yourself....But three years is VERY optimistic.:ugh:
