Hello,

I am in my early twenties any have been beavering away working in the IT field.

I am not absolutely confident about my financial plans, although I have been planning for a while.

Can anyone offer any advice or tell me where I can ensure that my financial plan for my dream job (should the full sponsorship not materialise :-) is sound ?

As you will all know, there's nothing run of the mill about it!

Stuff like pensions, life insurance, mortgage, kids, wife....etc etc.
Luckily I ain't got all of those yet..or is that unlucky. ANYWAY I digress..!

Any help greatly appriciated ppruners,

Rob99.

rob99,

Try searching the Wannabe archives under HSBC. They offer a loan called the Post Graduate and Professional Studies loan. It is specifically designed to cater for those of us foolish enough to aspire to the ATPL.

The beauty of this loan is that:
A)The will furnish the full cost of course fees
B)Offer up to 66% of your previous years salary whilst you study
C)A re-payment moratorium of up to 6 months to allow you gain employment
D) Up to 11 years to re-pay at just 2% above the banks base rate (Variable).

I know all this because I got a letter this morning from the nice man at HSBC telling me he would lend me the money...yipppeee.

They will however need security at approx 130% of the loan amount.

Good luck
