Hello,

I've been researching First Officer Direct Courses for sometime now but having difficulty waying everything up. It seems someone like Orlando Flight Training offer the course for around 30k where as Cabair is 58K.

I'd prefer to train Abroad but feel the Integrated course in the UK is going to be preferred over a Training Partner like OFT in Florida. How Employable would I be after FRozen ATPL (200) hours if completed at OFT or even South Africa/Australia?

Any help/comments truly appreciated.

With thanks.

Cabair are charging £58k as they have 'links' with airlines which might get your foot in the door should you impress during training.

OFT can offer the 0-fATPL for £30k as the fuel is cheaper, as are the general overheads.

There are plenty of threads on Training Abroad v UK

There are plenty of threads on Integrated v Modular

I've read that airlines don't seem to mind where you got the licence so long as you have one. They care more about how many x country IFR Multi hours you have under your belt. And some airlines might tip the scale in your direction if you have £20k in your back pocket to put toward their Type Rating.

99% of the people here tell me to get the PPL/Night/MEP abroad.
then
60% of the people say do your CPL/IR here in the UK
