Seems Saudi Air's 747 hit birds on take off out of Khartoum this morning, they lost 2 on the same side and did a V1 cut. a/c now parked on the apron waiting for new engines. Well done chaps! glad nothing went wrong!

I was waitng for start up when he went by. Big puff of smoke followed by a very quick stop. Crew were very quick. Interestingly, the emergency vehicles were all round the aircraft in a matter of 2 minutes. Total delay while they cleared the runway. 15 minutes. ATC then made a russian jet do a go-around while they scared all the birds away.
