Is it possible to copy the contents of Outlook from one computer to another?

I'd like to transfer Emails and Contacts.
Not bothered about anything else but, if it's easier to transfer everything, that's fine.

Outlook 2000 on the computer with the data to be transferred.

Thanks.

Yes, no problem. Search the hard disk for a very big .pst file.

Or, Outlook has the facility to export (then import) data.

Just choose the most convenient format for you then burn on to a CD or email it to yourself.

Yes, under File/Import and Export/Export to a file/Personal folder file (.pst). Just select the folders you want to export. Get that file onto the new machine and import.

Doing it the Bushfiva way the Outlook.pst will be located in something like:
C: \Documents and Settings\. . Your Login name . .\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst
That's in XP - can't remember the W2k location.
If you want to keep the existing .pst on PC2 then rename it or put it in a temp folder. Copy the desired .pst file to the same folder in PC2.

Export the details to a pst file. File > Import / Export > As file > Select Personal Folder .pst > Select the folders you want to save.

Then you can simply import this on your new outlook
