Anyone have any idea why the tues evening flight from ACC to LHR has been diverted into Cairo.I have a relative on this flight and naturally was concerned to see problems arising on this 767.

It went to Lagos for fuel, a common problem in Africa. ETA LHR 0735GMT

thanks the wife has been ill with worry as i have a solo 17 year old son on board
Cairo & Lagos in different bits of Africa... Could the rotation be LHR/ACC/LOS/LHR in the first place?

No, they are seperate services.
Just as M.Mouse suggested. No reliable fuel supplies so have to get it from where you can in that part of the world

I agree! Sometimes, there is a BA 767 on the ramp at Lagos having flown down from Abuja to refuel.
