HI all

I'm gonna start a A-320 rating in january ...work for an south eastern african company..
I'd appreciate some advise on what way of thinking should I study this course...I mean I only know conventional instruments and I know how the relation between the crew and george (the AP) has to be well cross-checked..

Thanks.

I must admit that I too was a little concerned on my transition from conventional to glass. Also from Boeing to Airbus, but that is a different kettle of fish altogether. You will find that glass greatly enhances your situational awareness and makes flying easier as all the info you require is on two displays. It will take you one simulator session and you'll be OK, the FMS/FMGS work takes a little practise but thats to be expected.

Have fun. Which company is it that you're gonna work for?
