Purely as a diversionary tactic from having to do any study myself, I thought I woudl start this thread.....
What is the highest average score for a student at the completion of ATPL exams? A guy that I know of from our school averaged 98.2% Can anyone better that? Anyone get over 99%? Or even the elusive 100!!
Right - back to the books.....

Highest I've seen is of all 14 exams which = 1400% someone got 1388% = 99.1%
12% dropped over 14 exams-not bad. Although anything about 75% is wasted so I've been told
HB
ps I'm currently on 96% average after 8 exams. Although getting 89 in Met and HP&L dragged down what could have been higher..

Why do I get the feeling that this is going to turn into a willy-waving contest? :rolleyes:

is the 75% an average over all exams or over 75% in every exam?

The pass mark for each exam is 75%, therefore the joke is, any score higher than that is wasted effort! You pass or fail and nobody really cares by how much.

if you get less than 75% in an exam you have failed that subject and will have to retake it. If you can get 75% in each exam, you will have made it :8

I bet my average is somewhere between 75 and 80%. Back then there was NO feedback. JAR was new and CAA feedback merely good for practice. Plus I was LAZY.
Never became relevant for job hunting, and nobody ever expressed interest in the number of times taken to pass.

I filled in an airline app recently that asked for 'number of attempts to pass theory exams' and 'average score'...
Give it your best shot is my adivce. :}

Can I turn this around and ask what the lowest average was .....? I know there are some out there that couldn't be asked to study and then felt shocked when they didn't pass , dear oh dear ....
