Chopper crashes in KZN

A pilot has escaped injuries when his helicopter crashed into power lines in Pietermariztburg.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said the crash happened at Eston, south-east of Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu-Natal.
The pilot, who was flying alone, was not hurt.
Botha said a cyclist was found where the accident had occurred and taken to St Anne's hospital. He was seriously injured. It was not known whether he was hurt when the helicopter crashed.
This was the second helicopter crash in a week.
On Saturday last week a helicopter crashed in the Vaal River in the Northern Cape.
The pilot, identified as Phillip Swanepoel, apparently crashed into power lines over the river and plunged into the water during a solo training flight.
The accident occurred near Riverton, 20km from Kimberley.
