Does anyone have any info regarding the current contract that is posted on pilotsdirect.com? Almost 11000 usd for a first officer seems to be a pretty great salary!

It might be a case of seeing what you want to see. Nowhere in that particular advert does it specify US Dollars. Other adverts do.

Thats how they get you. Seemed to be a little to good to be true. Thats why I posted this thread. Thx for your input.

I don't know whether it is or isn't but usually advertisements are selective with the words they include or omit. Best to contact them and ask if you are interested.

I haven't read the advert, but these sums of money are not unusuall in the Biz Jet world, if you work for somebodies private aircraft.

But before you say I want a job there, there is always a second side to the coin.
Imagine you are sat in some ****ty Hotel in the former Soviet Union for month on end without seeing your friends and family and your boss treats you
like a second class bus driver,is $11000 enough?

The question you have to ask yourself is , how much do they have to pay me, to do that job?

The money is great, but family life is difficult and to find a job like that and have a nice boss is even more difficult. I got lucky for the moment , but things can change quickly.

Just for info, the Co-pilots i'm working with earn Euro 7000 per/month which is not far off the $11000 with the current exchange rate and that's on a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off basis with flights home and training paid for.

But as they say , the grass is ........

Just had a quick look at their home page with vacancies. How is it that an Airbus F/O is being offered more than a B747/777 captain? Is there such disparity between airline contracts?

They might have included everything in that figure! Then its pretty standard. Total package for F/O at for example Emirates is pretty much the same, as with many other airlines. So actually for a contracting job its not that great because its short term. Always read the fine print:}

The job interview offer I received from Pilots Direct was with Qatar Airways

Good money, improving T's & C's but it is Qatar!:hmm:
