I have a new Laptop which came with a trial version of office 2003. I decided to get office home and student 2007 as an upgrade, but after loading it, I noticed that it doesn't come with outlook.

So the trial has run out and I have setup outlook to deal with all my e-mail, except I can no longer send from it....

How can I get outlook 2003 as a standalone? I have Vista, but I don't like the mail client that comes with it. I can't get it to check web based accounts for example.

Why is it so complicated whenever you change computers.... I will end up going mac at this rate!

I've searched and searched, but can only find outlook 2007 and there is no way I'm paying £100 for that on its own. I'm annoyed enough having spent £100 on office 2007 and then finding it doesn't do what I want it to.:ugh::ugh:

And before anyone starts, yes I know I should have read the box first, but I assumed it would all be as normal.

Vista has windows mail that is an upgraded version of Outlook Express if thats any good, see

There is an original copy of outlook 2003 on ebay at a fiver so far..... going for the older version makes sense as people upgrading to 2007 sell of their old version cheap..

Indeed if you buy it from the states of ebay people are selling new and unopened versions for £18 ish plus postage buy it now...... I cannot see why that won't work on a UK PC see
