Seeing that many of us will now be filing our tax returns, I thought it might be interesting to share some tips on maximising the amount returned from the tax office.

The FAAA site recommends three firms in Melbourne: Stafford Whelan, Dennis Bead and Sayers Partners. Has anyone visited any of these practises and if so, was your experience positive and how much did they charge?

Or have you visited someone else that knew flight attendant tax returns and claimed everything possible under the sun?? If you feel a little hesitant to publish their details online, please feel free to leave these details out and PM them to me please!

Another interesting topic I've discussed with others is deductions. Some are legitimate and others not so legitimate! What are some of the deductions you claim? What tips has your accountant given you about claimable expenses?

Any tips are welcome and very much appreciated as this is the first tax return I'll be lodging as a flight attendant and would really like to maximise it!

Thanks :O
