Don't laugh....

I heard (about a year ago) that their 'business plan' was to truck fish to FAPB and fly 'em over to Europe. Something about cheaper landing fees!

Well the comment 'Oh no not again' is all the interest and enthusiasm I can muster for these guys...

Many other 'bad' emotions still seem to fester at the back of my mind...Hmm..wonder why!

Oh dear, the old double standard comes out again Guvnor.
With one breath it´s "trust me I´m starting an airline", and with another it´s "these guys can´t be believed".

Not at all, Who? - there's a major difference between someone who has as many different names as changes of clothes - and no viable business plan - and my operation. We know exactly what aircraft is best for the job, and that's what we're sticking with. African DisaStar's approach seems to be if it's got wings, we'll take it - here you can clearly see thay are considering the A310, A340, B747-200F, B747-300/400 and the B767-300ER.

Someone needs to point out to them that there's absolutely no similarity at all between these types! :)

When someone is genuinely putting together a business plan, they draw up the plan first based on available passenger figures; then - and only then - choose the best aircraft for the job. No point going for a 747 when your average payloads will only be 150 pax!

Where's all his money coming from, anyway? He surely didn't manag to scam that much from the Receiver of Revenue?

I wonder how much it cost SQ to paint up the 747-300 - and if this time he's getting another 'chief pilot' that has no experience on type?

He's going around saying that he has a Burundi AOC - well, I can tell you categorically that there are two Burundian AOCs in existence. Air Burundi and City Connexion Airlines; neither of which belong to Starwelt!

I posted this on News/Rumours but perhaps this is best forum ?

Okay the latest plan calls for London/Manchester/Munich with yet another GSA appointed in UK - how many times can the same carrier reinvent it's self and how can the backers have faith after so many false dawns ?

Mr Kirama seems to have a real knack of convincing people that they have "an exclusive deal"

Any one out there really think this is going to happen

Then again, maybe not.......
