I was a student there a few weeks ago and am now back home with my SEIR + MEIR. A better school you would have to try hard to find. Aircraft are virtually brand new, garmin 1000, DA40/DA20/DA42, plenty of them, instructors are experienced and commited to their students.

One rule i have learnt the hard way - if you choose the 'quoted cheapest' schools, not only will you end up spending more, your training will be a gash affair with little care and flying planes that have no business in the air. Put briefly, aviation is the same as any other business in the world - 'you get what you pay for'.

In short i would recomend, do not attend any of the JAA schools, go to somewhere like EAA, get some top notch training and then get home and convert.

Hello I am EAAG.
Hello How are you?

I am agree with you about Europe American Aviation. is a good school and choosing a good flight school is a formidable task.

But I have a question. I asked in Europe American Aviation about living expenses. and they tell me a expensive estimate. (rent a car, stay in Hotel Etc)
like 3000 per month.

Coul you tell me How much you spent in living expenses per month.

Best Regards.

Have a look at Ari Ben Aviator in Fort Pierce, Florida (www.flyaviator.com). Cheap price for the lot of multi time you get (very important!). Their organization is rather messy and the planes are old & break down a lot, but if you can put up with that not a bad deal at all. A lot of self study is involved, but if you're dedicated and ready to work hard it's entirely possible to walk out the door with a CPL/MEIR and 200 Multi hours in just four months starting from zero. If you can get a J1 visa you can also instruct for them for a while to build your time (bad pay though).

Caution though about the safety pilot time which does not normally count for other ICAO licenses, relevant when you go home and they don't accept FAA tickets anyway. Most U.S. schools include at least some safety pilot time so watch out for this.

I'd suggest that if possible you go and visit your school(s) of interest before making any commitment. Some of the schools you mention are great at selling you the world for a lot of money. Don't spend a lot of money on a 'big name'. Remember, in the end what counts is your licenses, as many first time passes as possible and hours, hours, hours... especially Multi, Instrument, PIC, Cross Country, which you would get loads of at Ari Ben Aviator.

Flight training is mostly a dirty business and the most expensive school doesn't guarantee you good training, maybe you're just being ripped off to fund the lifestyle of some flight school owners. Neither does a cheap price mean bad quality. If it's cheap maybe it's because of old planes and not so nice facilities but it does not necessarily mean bad training.

By the way for Fort Pierce I'd suggest budget about US$1000-1500 per month for living, which includes a car (which you will need!). You can get a good car for about US$2000. The program cost Ari Ben Aviator quote would include the first three months of rent at US$600 a month.

Good luck

Poor management, planes in poor/dangerous condition, stacks of unusable safety pilot time and bad facilities.

You aren't exactly reccomending this place. The only thing it has going for it is that it's cheap, which it is. But the prices they claim are total fiction, and after you add things like fuel and 'admin' fees, it's not that good, and certainly not worth the risk of flying their airplanes.

Hello!!

it's very difficult to choose the flying school. In my case I'm looking for a school that leave a JAA FROZEN ATPL.

i have seen fly aviator, but in their plan isn't JAA IR. So after the course I shoud stay there as flight istructor.
There are also Orlando flight training and Ormond beach aviation...

what is the best school in USA to reach a JAA ATPL FROZEN?

this is the really question!!!

thanks to all!

dont look for the best school, look for the less worse school in the USA. cuz most of them are bad.

the trick is to keep your cash and pay little by little. So they will try to make you happy and keep you for the next stage level.
If you give all your money and trust ehem, they will show you disrespect, and the school may even face bankrupt and let you down with no money and no license.

remember, US is capitalist , not socialist, if you loose your cash, thats your problem.if you give them your cash, there you are NOTHING!

so be very very careful to what school you give your money, and keep it as a "carotte".US citizen will kill eachover for your money and they will take care of you if they see they have something to suck from you!

the good thing in the USA is you can get a cheap and well maintained plane with a cheap and good flight instructor.Share a cheap room with someone and buy a good car that you can sell later before leaving the USA.:ok:
