Hi guys

Anyone know how long a MPI will take on a 200 hour 1.5 year old B3?

Many thanks in advance.

The aircraft maintenance manual should have an MPI schedule stating the hours required for a standard MPI. Snags and other work would require more time.

Thanks SRT

I don't have access to the manual at the moment, any ideas?

farmpilot,

Assuming all is OK and no surprises, one guy should be able to do it in a day.

The 200hr has an additional task over and above the 100hr which requires Duplicate Inspections. It is the inspection of the self lubricating tape under the swashplate. If the tape is fine it should not add more than 2 hours to the 100hr. The 100hr itself is less than a day. The big question is your service bulliten status. Depending on the mod status of the aircraft there is either very little or quite a few additional checks. Worst case should be about an additional 4-6 hrs.

According to your hours flown vs age, you are going to loose out on your 500hr/2 yearly inspection. That is the big one done on whichever comes first.

Hope this helps

Many thanks everyone.

Got the machine back the next day and am off for the month filming, it was touch and go if Eurocopter would get it done but they pulled out all the stops and made it happen:ok:

Thanks again
