Hi All

I am trying to get my laptop (Windows XP) to find my mobile using the bluetooth connection. Yesmy laptop has bluetooth and yes the phone is switched on to allow it to send to other bluetooth devices.

When the laptop searches it says "Unable to find Bluetooth device, ensure Bluetooth aerial is connected and try again"

Do i need an external Bluetooth aerial, is there such a thing or is this a windows glitch??

All help greatly appreciated.

Regards SOPS

A lot of BT devices need to be set to 'visible' or 'seen' or similar words - does your phone have this setting? Are you certain your laptop BT is on?

SOPS, I have a Toshiba laptop and if I don't have the "wireless communication switch" in the "on" position, Bluetooth won't work.
Maybe there is a similar "switch" (that you use to switch on the wlan) on yours?
