Hi Folks,
Quick query, someone out there will hopefully able to answer. I currently hold a JAA PPL and am just coming to the end of my ATPL studies.
After the ATPL's I will be looking to head back to the US to complete 100 hours of hour building and complete a JAA ME/CPL.
Do I have to convert my JAA PPL to an FAA license in advance of taking up hour building in the US or will my JAA PPL be sufficient to legally hour build in the US.
Many Thanks for your replies. :)

You will need to get your license validated by the FAA before they will let you loose - OFT have laid out the process here

90 days is the total time till you get your proper plastic credit card licence. It took me around 2-3 weeks from start to finish to get the temp licence., Then you just need your class 3 US medical, a BFR and you are done
