Could somebody please tell me what happened to the talks between Virgin Airlines and the Nigerian Government about the willingness of this UK airline in flying the Lagos to London route and giving British Airways some competition on this high capacity route. I here Virgin were very keen a while ago on a deal being struck.
Why did they not get it? A lot of people who fly this route regularly hoped they would, and it brought a lot of exitement, and now nothing.
I know they started talks under the late dictators regime but have they had any discussion with the new management!
Is it also true that BA did everything possible in their power to stop this venture from materialising.
I was with a lot of people who fly this route on a regular basis last night and the topic came up about their disappointment and I promised to see what I could do to find any info on the subject.
Is their any Virgin staff or anybody who can give me any information on this matter please, I would really appreciate it.
