Any Details about a 1990 Nairobi B707 Accident ?

The Captain's son is seeking any details that may be available (from any source) regarding his father's accident (detail below). Cause may appear obvious, believe Nairobi (Wilson) is a GA strip (ATR's & bizjets maybe), however preceding scenario would help the chap involved come to terms with his aftermath issues.

The Boeing 707 freighter struck an electricity pole 3mls short of Runway 06 and crashed in flames. Visibility was 500m in fog with a 100ft cloudbase.

The plane was landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, not Wilson.

For whatever reason, it's believed that they were doing a non-precsion approach(VOR 06)
and flew into the ground. I visited the site and there was very little forward distance covered, matter of 100 yards or so and the aircraft was totaled..engines and rear pressure dome were the largest parts I saw..
cannot tell you the reason..hope this at least clarifies the airport..
