Sad as it is I couldn't let a good man's passing go without a posting - retired SAA Captain Eddie Strick, was murdered this week in a robbery on his farm.
RIP Eddie.

Never knew Cap'n Eddie but seeing as he was one of us condolences are in order. It's a sad state of affairs when a person of his age (assumption) is murdered by the unknown element that seems to hold South Africa to ransom by intimidation and fear. Not surprising that we're all leaving to find a better life for our families elsewhere.

I also didn't know the Captain personally.
Such a tragedy and sadly so symptomatic of the new SA.
Sincere condolences and sympathy to his family.
