Gentleman, Pilot and Wonderful Instructor, George Lees passed away peacefully at 3am this morning, Sunday 22nd July at home in his sleep.

He will be sadly missed by all at Essendon and beyond.

Our thoughts are with Stella and his family.

He will be sadly missed. Did a lot of work with George in the 90's and he was a great friend as well. Had some fantastic chats just sitting in PWP on the flight line with George and spent many a good hour airborne as well. one of the last genltemen of essendon.

A True Gentleman in every sense of the word.

Did PMI and some of my Grade 3 with George in the early 90s at Pearsons.

Never lost patience or his sense of humor.

Yes, a true gentleman who will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known or worked with him.

Words could not begin to describe his passion for flying, his understanding or his endless patience.

Thank you George for sharing all that you did with us.
