FB11, who posts on here occasionally, flies a cracking display in the RNHF Sea Fury, and even if he hasn't flown Kennet's Seafire XVII himself (and I do hope he's had the opportunity!), will know John Beattie who does. Send him a PM?

We had a padre in the RAN who was an ex Seafire RN pilot. I always wondered if the Seafire experience made him take up his alternative vocation. Only comment he ever made was that popped rivets were a feature of the airframe.

My ex-boss (Capt GC Baldwin CBE,DSO RN Retd) scored the first ever kill in a Seafire (a vichy French Dw250), but alas he passed away last year.

Hi picked up this thread from a long time ago so it's probably of no interest to anyone now, my father flew seafires in the FAA , in fact the one in the FAA museum appears in his log book several times

in this case does FAA mean: Fleet Air Arm?

from the USA side of the pond.
