Recently 1 of our Captains(who happened to be very vocal against the new management) got reported by 1 of the advisors to our esteemed management. The guy claimed that he saw the Captain standing in the galley for around an hour. An investigation was completed after interviewing the crew & they found that the advisor was wrong but AD & BN were not happy with the outcome(obviously they have it in for this Captain for his comments) so they are carrying out yet another investigation in order to screw him. So much for them saying that they are open, transparent & honest managers. So guys watch your back for these low lifes.:yuk:

I heard something about this yesterday. What a bunch of cheap crooks. It seems that these jokers are actually worse than any of the management that we have had. Well I guess that this is BN's priority even though GF is in "a flat spin, going through a CB with an engine on fire" , so what do they do- hit the last asset that this crappy company has. Got to make sure that I keep looking over my shoulder from now on. Maybe even start p***ing my pants in the flightdeck just incase 1 of the snotty nosed teenage consultants are onboard.

What happened was that BN's friend upgraded himself inflight, CSM informed the Captain and they both reported the incident.

Funny how the friend reported the Captain after he was reported by Captain and CSM.

Don't worry for the Captain guys. If only BN knew whos personal adviser the captains brother is.....

They can't use these cheap tricks with him, trust me.

It seems BN wasn't smart enough to get the hint when another well connected captain told him "YOU will lose your job, not me".


Anyways, the latest on the subject is, that YA and NS told BN " We'll re-investigate the captain as long as YOUR friend is investigated too" because all Caben crew testified for the Captain.:D

Yes but if don't to the wrong guy, it could back-fire on him. He's the one on thin ice, he just doesn't realise it.

These tricks aren't new to GF. Many previous management used them before.

Good thing the Capt. was determined to NOT be in the galley for an extended period, otherwise it would be a security issue, and it shouldn't really matter who he is related to should it???.. the "self upgrading" person should also be dealt with, and should have been asked to sit in the appropriate assigned seat, produced documentation approving the upgrade, or deplaned as per procedure.. any one of us most certainly would have...I have been relegated to a seat in Y class on a leave ticket when there were open seats in first because the BAS staff had their head up their hiney, but even being "entitled" for the upgrade, decided that forcing the ussue was unprofessional and not worth the possible backlash..(10 hrs sector)

Was it an attempt to screw a pilot out of sheer contempt? Or could any of you believe the possibility that a report came in and was investigated!!??????

It really is simple - you investigate when something like this comes up. IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO!!!!!! If the pilot is innocent then we'll see him online. If he was not then he may be dealt with.

If CC, during the investigation backed the captain then it is a moot point - investigation over - case closed - back to work.

This theory that management is trying to 'screw' people is crap methinks.

to my knowledge the F/Class toilets were U/S.
The Captain was using the J/Class toilet.

why the hell are captains accepting aircrafts with forward toilets u/s? our work place is limited to the first class curtains for obvious security reasons. unless you guys are happy with company issue colostomy bags and cockpit seat 'pans', keep accepting this unservicability. it's bad enough that first class passengers are having to put up with travelling back behind the bulkhead for their physiological needs... the point is we use the front toilets.

I wasn't aware we were allowed to use anything other than the forward toilet unless an authorization from flt ops was present....I imagine in this case there was indeed this authorization...I have refused aircraft for long sectors due to the unavailability of this authorization...

nothing in the book that says u cant take an aircraft because f class toilet dont work..its up to the captain,but if he chooses to make that choice expect a telephone call from ya and ns or back then ha..and they wont be nice..u forget iron butts that u maybe an extremely professional pilot but your management are not....:E

answer me this then, if the forward toilets are u/s, where will you go? i don't care what the book says on this issue but it is a fundamental human right to use a toilet when you have a physiological need. using other than the fwd toilets with the galley curtain drawn is a clear breach of procedures. i'll even go as far as saying that a u/s fwd toilet may as well be a no go item. for my personal needs, i won't even look for an authourisation. either fix it, or find a captain who's absolutely certain he ain't gonna leak. (everbody leaks during a rapid decompression)

Thanks for the vote of confidence..."vomit" you don't have to be smart to be an airline pilot...it's all "paint by numbers"(like the coloring books my kids get in grade school) just follow the OM-A it's all laid out....far be it from me to be smart:} as anyone who's flown with me can for sure will tell you...:ok:...and yes brassplate the MEL...specifically makes mention the forward toilet inop is the Capt's call...as are all MEL's, as is consistent with security requirements....under any regulatory authority, the Capt is responsible for the airwothiness of the aircraft, and GF has NEVER given me any grief in this matter...( and believe you me I have in many occasion tested the waters in this regard..)

Yeah it shouldnt even be in the mel....my rule of thumb was anything more than two hours sector, then we need it working
Most of the times I refused a plane with a broken fwd toilet, it took less time to fix it, that it did trying not to fix it.:ugh:

As far as I know, the acusation is that he was out of cockpit for OVER AN HOUR, not which toilet he used.

Anyway the CC testified that this was not true.:D



Also, what nobody here has mentioned, the same Captain also reported another group of BN's friend for being upgraded to F/C (or J/C) using staff tickets while wearing Jeans.

I guess some people are exempt from the rules. :ugh::ugh::ugh:

i hope the captain is telling the truth because these guys can play dirty by studying the contents of the cvr in determining his guilt. in a normal world, we would have the unions to protect us from these sorts of foul play.
