CTC stage one

I have just applied for CTC and already it says that I have passed stage one. I just have this thought that anyone that applies on their website can get through stage 1.

Is this true in anyway? I just have this thought because it took such a short time for a reply and the fact that I didn't have to write any form of essays in the application.

Believe it or not, around 50% of people fail stage1.
It's just to see you have the minimum requirements.
The essays and such will follow later ;)

You still got another 3 tough stages to go.
