Tony Davis, CEO of Tiger Airways was on lateline business last night. I found the whole discussion quite interesting.
Firstly announcing the routes Tiger will be flying from Melbourne being Darwin, Gold Coast, Mackay and Rockhampton direct from late November.
Secondly, showing how agressive Tiger will be by Tony Davis' phraseology,
"we know how Jetstar operate....... we think that we can beat them"
"...our competitors keep trying to find faults in our business when they don't know the facts....stinks of desperation"
"...these routes we have announced are just the start of the process...."
"...we are certainly looking at New Zealand..."
"....at the moment we are looking at individual AWA's...."
"...we believe in strong industrial relations.."
Interesting times ahead
