Question for you experts:

On a Citation there is a MAPCO light switch, in the cabin behind the LHS.

From Googling it seems a MAPCO is something to do with the refreshment centre. But what? Anyone know?

Maybe it's Missed Approach Point Coffee Order. You don't become visual in time and you know it's going take 5 minutes to be vectored back on to the localiser so you may as well knock back an espresso or two.

MAPCO
What it really means is The Mansfield Aircraft Products Company, a USA based manufacturer of parts for planes. So when you select a 'MAPCO' switch to on you're powering up one of their devices.

Strange but true. :ok:

It turns out that the "MAPCO" in our aircraft wasn't actually made by MAPCO; it is one of those products, like "Hoover" rather than "Vacuum Cleaner", where the brand has become a synonym for the product.
