I'd say dont do it, its covered at length and the general feeling seems to be avoid NAC DL like the plague.

NAC has been in business for quite some time. Every school has its plusses and minuses. You can't always have 100% satisfaction from every customer...

you could do what some of the guys at EFT that I knew did, they booked the course with Bristol, studied with them and the online Question bank and then took the tests in orlando. I don't know the legal nuances of the thing I just know it's possible.

My brother did his JAA CPL flying at Naples and was O.K. for that

Most of the US JAA ground training was disorganised at that time
And some of the schools dont seem to be there anymore

He did and I am doing ground training at CATS which is superb

Whether I do my flying out in the States I dont know yet

My understanding of how the system works is that an exam centre has to be open and available to all, but it will no doubt come at a cost if you are not with Naples. Afterall there are the invigilators and venues etc to pay. Give the CAA in the UK a call or email them and see what the story is. Also be aware that the exams might not run every month as they could be linked to when Naples are running their modules so you might have to work in with that. No doubt it would still work out cheaper than flying to Gatwick though.

Hi mate dont go near naples i was there and took my money and came home,it is not a good school at all .They just want your money they will sound great on the phone and e mail ,and double book aircraft on a very regular basis i could put you in touch with 4-5 other people with the same experiences. My advice would be avoid them at any cost.

Well?? What a strange bunch of opinions there?? Im wondering how long ago it was that you people were in NAC? Im currently here in NAC doing full time ATPL groundschool. and I have to say it is top notch. Im now in my second module. My whole class passed the last module first time in May? Thats a 100% Pass rate? Instructors are excellant and the CGI does do his best to look after those who actually do the work!! The only people that i have seen leaving the groundschool moaning, whinging and failing are those who rather spend the nights in the pub, than studying!

In fairness tho, I did hear that when the school first set up the notes etc were really bad, but now with the Jeppessen books and the Italian feedback they really are quite good? I for 1 am happy with the service!

As for the distance learning, I cant comment but those DL students who were in the exam centre with me in May didnt seem to have many complaints and they all did very well too! Oh and Re. the exam centre in Orlando, there is the same sittings every month as there is in Gatwick!

Best of luck with whatever school you choose! :ok:

I am also a current NAC ATPL student and I cannot fault the groundschool.
If your thinking of doing ATPL groundschool abroad then NAC is the place to do it.

Tho i would like their bank balance

EIDW 747, dude I am with you on that one!
Just using myself as an example, the ATPL course I did with them could not have cost them more than 50 bucks. I paid about 3000...........

You do the math:ok:

Yep...We are living in Florida going to college, we are european and willing to pay an american school to do the european atpl...but NO...

it s not possible because we have F1 visa and they accept M1...

So for other like us...don t buy on line before asking them many questions !!!!!
