Hi guys, ive currently got 12 hours towards my PPL licence, i am planning to have it complete this summer as various activities get in my way so this summer is the only time to complete it.

I have been doing it at a local air school in the UK, but the costs are a lot and double of what i can pay in the US. I have been looking to do it in america, but their licence is JAA PPL.

The one im doing is JAR PPL, what is the difference between the two? In addition to this if i complete me JAA PPL over in america can i come back to the UK and fly straight away without any converting or training?

Many thanks, sorry if its a stupid question, but i'd prefer to know everything about what im going in for before i give them my money.

A JAR PPL doesn't exist, it's a JAA PPL.

JAA - Joint Aviation Authorities (the organisation)
JAR - Joint Aviation Regulations (the practices laid out by the organisation)

Thus JAR-FCL is the 'Flight Crew Licensing' section of the regulations.

I think you need to do a lot more research before you commit to going to the U.S..
