Dependants and employment

I found this on the net with regards to employment of sponsored dependents and wondered if it was true and if anyone has any details with regards of my spouse working while I am based in HK?

"With effect from 15 May 2006, dependants of persons admitted for employment
(as professionals, investors or for training) or as capital investment entrants are
not prohibited from taking up employment."

It is true, your wife/husband can gain employment as a dependent.

Thanks, I was advised differently when I went to my interview. Just wanted to make sure that I was reading it correctly.
