I have had 6/6 vision until I was recently diagnosed with cataracts. It looks like I will have to have surgery and have the intra occular lenses inserted. I have had my sights on EK for a while and am very anxious to know if they approve of this procedure.

Endothelial keratoplasty. See this excerpt which I've posted from this link:

EK (Endothelial Keratoplasty)
http://allan.vu/images/moorefields/corneal4.gifIn EK, a new method of corneal transplantation, a healthy new endothelium is transplanted on a thin layer of donor corneal tissue which is floated into place and adheres without sutures. The eye wall is left intact. This helps to preserve a normal corneal shape, normal strength and a normal focussing power for the eye.

Well one thing is for sure - EK is NOT a surical treatment for cataract. Why are you interested in EK?

Ok, sorry. Guess I should have been more specific.
EK is Emirates Airlines. I am anxious to know whether I still have a chance of getting a job with them after cataract surgery.

Not sure why you're contemplating cataract surgery with normal vision. Unless you're having problems leave alone.
