Ladies and gents, as it has almost become a tradition to have the Puma Reunion on the last Friday in November, the 2007 event will take place on the 30th.
Same time, same place, same levels of general tomfoolery expected please.

Suggest discretion on this forum in line with CAS directive regarding negative publicity opportunities when undertaking social events. Be aware of media interest and Journo subterfuge to get an invite and put you all in the news. Mind you no publicity is bad publicity and I gather the Puma force enjoy a good blow!!!

That's why I put "Same time, same place". All those who need to know, should already know!

If you were in the know, you would know the code, and therefore know that the reunion isn't really on the 30th, it isn't in the same place or at the same time and most certainly isn't open to the same people who went last year and therefore know when and where it should be. However, CAS, the fun-police and journos who can't find a better story on the night (which is different to the same one as last time) are welcome to meet at the same place, assuming they know where the same place is. So now you know.

Well I wont be there, I wont be getting rather tipsy, I wont be talking arse to who will listen and I most certainly will not be sitting in the corner talking to myself ......... Ok I will:ok:

Looking forward to it!!

Actually we could make this all legal by re-titleing the do- 'Ritchies mates, collegues and peer group do'! The MODS could fix it in a heart beat. That would take away the legal worries, and no one can complain! What do you think Obnoxio:ok:

OF,

I've tried to contact you but the system says you don't accept PMs and my PPRuNe email went unanswered (possible failure of the mail system). Is there any way to make contact; I wouldn't mind going along if possible - or is it really a case of "you can't go unless you've gone before"?

Cheers, ShyT.

How will I get home? BoomSow has negotiated the Tube for me for the last 3 years and he's on exchange now. Maybe I'll just drink orange juice.

For those in the know, Rotorheads share club meets in the Club at 1000, if the Sec hasn't run away to South America (again) with all our profits.

see you all there...

Mate, your body would reject anything as healthy as OJ straight out. Just follow the example of many of your fellow reunionees and pass out in the gutter for a few hours.

You know you want to.

This year I am not going to have the MOST expensive crap curry in a soho Curry Shop with the illegitemate son of the inventor of the Jet Engine (after his trip in a Vickers Vimmy to Nairobi) and then I won't be having a Kebab on my way back to the hotel at or around 0200................................:E

Hey DH,

I thought that after the All Blacks last game, you'd be an alcoholic by now!

And I never did get to hear:

"G020, 1 x 747 throu' the overhead East to west FL390, G020"

Westbound I'm too busy sorting out the sandwich tray. Eastbound it's brekkie time. Will discuss at length when we're in The Loadmasters' Arms. Hmm let me re-phrase this..

Absolutely top night, as ever. Great to see so many familiar faces, and it was the usual curry/chinese option, or 'Eatin's Cheatin!'

Particular hat-tip to those who came straight from further afield, and to the mad scientists :ok:

See you in '08...

Have done a quick scout through the blue book, and there are 150 e-mails on the list (actually 170, but there are a few of the [email protected] types!), so an excellent turnout. One day, I'll actually remember one of these things!

Don't think I've seen as many jolly fat men since Santa Claus school. But enough about the loadie mafia. Great turn out and great to listen to so many ex-junta staff officers telling me that No, THEIR job was much more important than everyone else's. Maybe it was the jetlag that got the eyelids going...

But top night all round and I'll be back for '08 - though maybe with a bigger pink chit. Well done, fat bloke.

DH, I'm, surprised you noticed....you drank your own body-weight in Spitfire and didn't move from the same position for 6 hrs whilst regaling all with your medal mish story!

See you next year. Say hi to Dres for me.

Yes and obviously I worked (allegedly) on 230 - not.

Another stupid question though - is it only you winged master race that get to go or are your humble groundcrew let into the corner and given half a shandy?

CS I was wondering that also. Does the finest Safwan FOB helmet polisher get an invite? Good luck and best wishes to all Puma mates, stay safe :ok:

Given a shandy? Groundcrew are corralled in the corner and made to buy a round. :E

Puma Reunion 2008

Give me a chance, I'm about to be a civvy! Last Friday in November, as always, which this year is the 28th.

You know the rest.

Also, this year, 2 of our esteemed (if getting on a bit) colleagues from BD have rewritten and comprehensively re-done the SH Songbook. It is now at Issue 2, and covers all previous amendments. I am reliably informed that it is still as insulting to bona mates as ever, and will be on sale at the Reunion, for the trifling sum of at least £7.00. I say at least £7.00, as all proceeds will be going to Help for Heroes so if you want to make it little bit more, no one will complain.

Just don't sing that song in the pub!

Regards

Roger,

I have the e-mail list electronically, but have no access to the reunion Hotmail account for a few weeks.

PM me your e-mail and I'll add you on when I get home.

I shan't make it this year (first one I will have missed - :{, but at least the Saturday might be bit less :yuk:), but "Puma Reunion Organiser" seems to have become an unoffical secondary duty for my now ex-job, my successor will be taking it on as well.
