Hi

I need to find out how easy it will be and how long it would take to get a driving licence in Abu Dhabi for someone who has no licence.

Person in question can drive a car but has never taken a test.

I have heard vague stories of having to do a ridiculous amount of lessons and then it taking 2 months for the licence to arrive.
My friend will only be in Abu Dhabi for 6 months, so this wouldn't be great.

If anyone has any info on this, I'd appreciate it. I have searched the interwebby but without much luck.

Thanks

Honestly...get the licence before going to Abu Dhabi..if you have the same passport as the licence and it is issued in a recognised country, then it is a simple conversion. If you do not have a licence then you would have to attend a course at the Emirates Driving School. It is expensive but it does not take that long.

Hope this helps

Hasn't this been changed? It has up here (further North). It's a complicated issue anyway. Good luck!

anyone got any info on how expensive Emirates Driving School is ie how much an hour and how many hours required ? I imagine they say you need to do a minimum of x hours even if you can already drive ?
