My mother is travelling to Tanzania and needs to connect in Johannesburg to fly to Dar. Can anyone in the know tell me the airline choices? I believe SAA does the route. Who else? What about Precision Air, Air Tanzania or MAF? Are these safe, reputable carriers? I apologise for my ignorance and I mean no disrespect to all concerned. Thanks for any help.

Im guessing your best bet is SAA. Check the website (www.saa.co.za)
I did it in a Helicopter once, what a trip and some **** stops along the way...........

Not sure if SAA still operate the route.

Air Tanzania is most probably your only choice. They operate a B737-300 on the route.

SAA is your safest choice!
"Aliance" used to do the flight, but I don't know if they still do - basicly a SAA B747SP with SAA flightdeck.
