I'll be going to Rwanda soon for a couple of weeks and was wondering whether there is any chance to go flying there. I have a PPL, but would not want to go on my own, just want to get up in the air a bit. If there is anybody knowing someone who is flying in Rwanda, it would be great if you could let me know.
Thanks!

There's a bloke by name of Jean-Marc who had a Twin Comanche at Kigali. Don't know if he's still around. I know there was a C150 at the Bujumbura Aero club at one point but that's over the border in Burundi. A Lake Buccaneer was also seen there occasionally. It was based in Buj and operated around Bukavu in the DRC as well.

Haven't seen a twin commanche in Kigali. But there is a Heli school or something of the sorts.

The flying club in Buji has been shut for a while now ever since the South African army took it over to use as their base, also no Avgas available there.

The heli-school is at Silverback's run by SA's Hover Dynamics.

Silverback are helpful folks - check them on the web and call, sure they will point you in the right direction.
