Essentially they are buying 2 or 3 DC-9-51s from AeroPostal and expect them to be ready in two to three months time. They currently have one DC-9 that is used for a 5 times weekly service to Afghanistan. The flight departs Dubai at 0500 and returns around 1200. They currently have " 3 pilots " flying that one. The DO cited a need for another 10 pilots for the additional aircraft.

The pay is comprised as follows:

First Officer basic pay is $2500/month

Captain basic pay is $4500/month

Duty pay is $40 per day flown ( average 20 days per month )

An additional $500 for "jet pilots" ( they also operate a J-41 ).

$500/month for TRI or TRE

$300/month travel allowance

Accommodation provided is shared in a villa ( your own room ).

Medical coverage is provided.

Requirements are 1000 hours total time with 500 on type.

If you don't think it is accurate then please post what you believe to be accurate.

I called the company and asked as a friend in my home country was curious. What I have posted is exactly what I was told over the phone.

Those salaries are only disgusting :yuk:
4500 US$ for a Capt?? That's 2250 £GBP ! Who in their right mind would work for that paltrey sum?

Those aircraft will spend more time on the ground in maintenance than they will operating anyway so I guess 2250/month to side on backside is not as bad.

To whomever is fishing for crew with those salaries, good luck starting your company!

It is not worth the exercise.

I know too much to say something positive.
