BBJPilot,

Just curious - are there many BBJs flying out of Moscow? If so, do you, in fact, fly one of them?

I know that Privatair ocassionally flies one of its BBJs out of Moscow for Russian clients.

Generally speaking, how's the corporate aviation market picking up in Russia? Are there more and more locally-based Gulfstreams, Falcons and Challengers showing up on the ramp in Moscow these days?

Cheers

BBJ Pilot: Hmm, I think that they think that you are me! if you catch my drift!.....or course, if you are me then I'm writing to myself and if you were to reply you would also be writing to yourself and to me who is of course not you....but me! :D

I am soon to be based in Moscow, leaving the above mentioned company to work for a private operator. I hear that there are two Marriots in town, which is the best one? and can you say which a/c you are working on.....some beer might be in order!

BBJ - to answer your question, after a long period of lacklustre leadership, and thats being generous, we have a new cheif pilot. He's got things moving again and there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel.

Cheers

Isn't it amazing that when you go outside the department for fresh management, the ideas they bring to the table can be quite good. Or is it the fact that the old managers were so ingrained with old ideas and ways, that we welcome the change and see it as good
Don't make the mistake most of our guys have done by clinging on to the past, it's gone. Instead, look and listen to how your new manager manages, and make up your mind if his style is good for you after he has had time to effect change. :)

Ballast,

Will you be flying on a regular basis to that place in the far NW Siberia ?

Hello Fockerjet,
Yes there is a new manager in the house and he is not reluctant to change things because he needs to run things the way he is used to. So, naturaly that means changes are imminent...there is always room for improvement..(subtle or what!!) without sticking my neck out there is not much more i should say. Personally i wish the new guy the very best of luck, he has a tough job ahead.

BBJ pilot, so where are you now..you started this one!

Ballast,
Sorry for late reply, I was stranded with a computer problem (I am still stranded but I have now access to a computer).
Of course it is N East, silly me. Must have been looking from the wrong side...
I have been there recently and I know most probably your new employer.

Wot, those nice BBJs going already? Did anyone tell my friend JS about that?

It's been downhill ever since the G1s were replaced by the BAC1-11s, I reckon.

Belated reply to SF;
no joy with INF, charter side closed down
& hangar all but empty except for the
odd Titan :-(

seeking pastures new, but not enough hours
really to do anything really good,

BBJ's look good, love those tasty wingtips
;-)
