Yeah I think Viagra sends the blood from the upper brain to the lower brain.
But beware, I think I read that Viagra causes vision disturbances as well, so you might flunk the eye chart.

And it might be hard to explain to the doc why, umm, you know, you're at attention and ready for duty like a good boy scout :O ...unless of course she's cute! If that's the case make sure you're her last exam for the day ;)

All kidding aside, I must admit I had been feeling pretty crappy in the last year or two. I have my class 3 medical coming up next January (PPL, Canada), with ECG. My wife is a physician. She suggested in no uncertain terms that I needed exercise. It took me a while. Well I am up to 102 km on my bike this week, and have been biking and power walking for a few months now. Feel much better, even knocked off a few pounds. I donate blood regularly (don't worry I wait 48 hrs before flying which I do for fun, not work) and noticed a distinct improvement in my blood pressure when they tested me prior to giving.

It sounds like a pain, but exercise (and diet, cut out the salt too) make a huge impact. Right now my goal is about 30 km a day on the bike when weather permits.

High blood pressure has more to do with mental health: You seem to be worried about your upcoming aviation physical. Why do you worry in the first place? And more importantly, why do you worry in advance? Maybe if you read Dale Carnegie's book about "How to stop Worrying. . ." you may get a grip on how to live without stress and tension. There are no desperate situations, only desperate people. :ooh:

You may have touched on a grain of truth, as there are currently some trials looking into using Viagra for symptoms of jet lag.

If your waiting for the punch line, there 'aint one-it's true.

BeechNut is quite correct that Viagra can cause visual disturbances, but it is not the eye chart. Viagra is a well documented cause of coulour vision deficiency - fortunately it is only temporary.

Bad Medicine, not just colour, but blurred vision as well.

Viagra is not known to cause problems with visual acuity... it can cause color disturbances which are rare. And there are reports, even rarer, of visual field issues probably related to retinal vascular issues. The relationship to Viagra is not established.
