Hi,
I just received the call for an interview with Cathay in a couple of months and am madly going through the preparations and trying to find out information. I do apologize if some of the questions here seem redundant, I've tried to research on these forums as much as I can but I may have missed some of the answers.
I'm interviewing for a position as a DEFO based in the U.S.
First question I have is:
My first choice is an LAX domicile. In the event that I am based in ANC, ORD, or JFK, what is the possiblity of transferring to LAX and what time period would we be talking?
The second question:
Once I'm an FO on the Freighter, I realize that I'm on the aircraft for at least 3 years. After that time period, what is the procedure to switch over to flying passengers and is that even possible considering that I would like to stay based in the U.S?
Third question:
What is the upgrade time like as a -400 captain on the freighter?
I'm sure that I have quite a few questions coming up but this is my start. I appreciate any help you may have as I start this process.
Happy Flying!!
