Just got the letter with the first interview info attached. They mention Conditions of Service as some kind of contract that the pilots must sign prior to being hired. Is this their form of a training contract? I'm curious to see what life might be like flying for the Cathay freigher fleet but I don't want to tie my hands with a multi-year training contract if I don't have to....... Anyone know anything about this one?

Pay is also below average for 747 equipment, any word on a more promising and enticing pay scale down the road for us guys that wouldn't want to move to Hong Kong?

As far as I am aware, you are not tied in for any specific amount of time/money. You are free to go when you please (if that is what you are asking). Although look past the starting conditions...it is a great career job once you move to the pax fleet if you are wanting that.
