I think you will find there is not much to feed back to the members Domo. It is hard to negotiate when you are the only person in the room, company are sticking to their guns, 3% but you will have to pay for it in trade offs.

For the first time in a long time the ALAEA Exec are asking for the opinion of their members to drive the direction of the EBA negotiations :ok:

At loggerheads with QF atm they seek OUR desire on one of three options of how to move forward. :E

We got a serve in Bris vegas yesterday and to be honest I'm enjoying the interaction. :D

Cant wait till the ballot arrives then its one of three ways we can go

You're right !!!! I haven't told you what the options were ?

Im sick of the puny hearts not willing to take the time outta their busy schedules to attend a meeting THAT BENEFITS THEM. :ugh:

By the way over 70 attended the BHM meet

Side discussion - Have you ever seen a harder bunch of guys they looked like men in black crossed with lock, stock and two smokin' barrels - no prizes as to why the company don't likem - they don't take **** from anyone including us !!!! :ok:

Mate cementhead you obviously have no idea, doing very little? haha come off it.I am not an engineer but I am sure that engineeers do more than "Very little" as you put it, its what you depend on to stop an aircrafts wings folding and you entering a fiery grave when you fly. Think about it.

domo,
ask your rep to put you onto the negotiating team and I'm sur they will fll you in. There is no secret stuff it just takes to long to write it all down.
Summary.
Qantas want trade offs, they wont put a price on the table for any of them.
How are you supposed to make a decision?

Three options going out in a ballot shortly.

1. Continue to negotiate like soft kocks.

2. Take Industrial action.

3. Wait till after Federal election.

Told that the result of ballot won't be telegraphed to Qf either. Members told that we will know from their actions what the result was.

3%, sadly the benchmark is 4.5%, been getting that every year for the last 3 yrs, and will get it again for the next 2 yrs.

apparently after the feedback from the board we are in whats called the sweet spot, not to be confused with the vinegar stroke or wet spot.the alaea feedback was appreciated by those that attended in syd from all accounts.

will Q know come to the table since the commissioner finally ruled in the alaea favour, regarding perth ,i guess a few talks will be held regarding whether to try and sign up an eba as the general poulation seem to have had enough of johnnys ir laws,

as for cement head try all you want to hijack threads normally i wouldnt even respond to such a limp wristed ,skirt wearing wanna be trade assistant but hey, watching you defecate with your words of purile importance makes me laugh.

Hey Domo,
At the feedback meeting I was at we didn't learn much. It was a bit disappointing. The reps read out their list of demands and then read the company's list of demands. It would have helped if they were printed out so we could follow. They talked a bit about an upcoming union ballot on which way to go forward in negotiations. Good idea, at last they're asking us what w want. They kept talking about waiting till after the federal election to take industrial action as if they think if Labor gets in we'll be able to bully QF all we want. All our woes will be over. Unfortunately, I think that's just wishful thinking. They spent a lot of time talking about Perth but the people I spoke to afterwards were having trouble following their arguments against QF. I'm not bagging them, just suggesting their presentation could have been better. Sorry I can't give you more but as I said, it was all a bit disappointing.
Did anyone else have a better meeting?

For the first time ever I went to an EBA meeting and the members didn't bag out the Executive. Yes a lot of talk about Perth and nobody I spoke to had trouble following the arguments. The difference being that the people I spoke to afterwards were LAMEs, not managers.

Eh Company Puppet errr I mean Sobast,

:{ The meeting was hard to follow, you a sheetie in mechanical disguise ?

Three options to move forward
:)1. Continue to negotiate on pre-JHAS document
;)2. Continue to negotiate, but stand firm on our claim as Qf have done theirs
:E3. Up the ante and enter the 'bargaining period'

Can't be any clearer, the election will be along regardless what you choose

:ok:Best ALAEA presentation I've seen - At least NO BULL**** just honest engagement and a couple of gems.

Can't wait to get my ballot, Hey Mr Postman ! ! !

Hey Domo, were you able to sort out an answer to your question? i.e. could you sort through all the vitriol? Wouldn't you love to try and have an intelligent conversatin with some of these spiteful guys. If you dared to put forward a point of view or proffer some information, their reply would be a hateful, personal attack. They'd forget to counter your view with rhetoric.

Can you spot the exec members on here spitting their dummies? It does show you who we have trying to steer our ship.
