luvvin the cleaners in DLM and BJV... when I used to fly there it was like having dungarees wearing lemmings taking over the aircraft... about ten of them on board a 737, cleaned done and gone within 15 minutes! plenty of time for a cuppa b4 boarding the next lot! :p

BGI is the worst airport for cleaners, they are rude, wont move out your way and demand drinks while you are busy sorting stuff out.

as for best hmmm, I think they're all on par with one another, however the spanish cleaners are usually the most switched on because they are busier year round more so than the other destinations(charter wise anyway)

Any of the Greek Islands!

They, normally just two or three women, come onboard with their little dustpans and brushes, the ones like a witches stick and are done in 20 minutes. No fuss, no bother and always say hello. :)

BGW are by far the worst for me, they care more on asking extra food than doing their job. In JIB it's very slow but the end result is not so bad ...

cheers ...

Shanghai!

They are amazing...

They come in their masses, they line up on the jetway in single file, one behind the other, like an army of tiny little 5ft robots. They all wear identical matching boiler suits and face masks, each with a hoover strapped to their back.

They wait in absolute silence for the last pax to disembark. Then when they get the nod they scurry onboard with no time wasted, each knowing exactly where they are to go, and what they are to do. They work hard, and are done in minutes. The aircraft looks literally brand new!

And then you get back to Heathrow, where you are greeted by a mass heard of dirty sweaty, smelly cleaners, all wearing whatever they feel like, all chewing gum and swearing and laughing loudly. Its amazing what different cultures present you with!

sorry worst would have to be Jetstar in Australia, they dont employ cleaners at all. the flight attendants pick up major rubbish but the aircraft mightn't be cleaned for about 8 flights until it gets a deep clean at night time. this is toilets as well people!!!!! the EBA for flight attendant doesnt cover cleaning and no allowance is given so the crew dont clean the cabin.

its awful as crew hopping on an aircraft and showing the passengers to their seats with chips crushed in the ground. but hey they are a low cost carrier and thats how management cut their costs i supose.

crew are great, very friendly but i wish we had clean aircraft.

SSH are pretty bad, just try and sponge stuff off the a/c :hmm:

Love the Spanish and Greeks - lovely friendly staff (can be a bit smelly - lol) but couldn't survive a turnaround without them!! :)

It is strange how in different airlines crew have to do different kinds of cleaning. I think it is horrible that some airlines want their crew to clean the plane after serving the pax as well. Too exhausting! In my airline we have to collect blankets after pax leaves. No cleaning since we have cleaners however collecting blankets are gross enough. Some crew get rashes on their arms so it is best to wear you jacket with gloves on. The worst is when someone leaves a 'package' like vomit inside a blanket. When you pull it up from the seat it splatters. Fortunately hasnt happened to me yet....

I would like to know what other airline cabin crew do after pax disembark...Please tell!

Hi!

I have to say that the worst cabin cleaners in the world are HAV and NBO.
When you watch them work you really go mad...it's a never ending job...they always delay the boarding...you have to watch them continuously otherwise they won't work!
The best are all japanese airport and PVG...great people, nice, kind and very professional. They really care about the job and the cabin shine!!!!!:D
