I know that some of the drivers are over in the US converting to the 737-800.

If it was a MD87. The US government bought one from Ford.

Fordair are getting some BBJ's (B737-700), although how long their UK operation will be maintained after they stop building at Dagenham I don't know!

wouldn't have thought it would make too much difference as IIRC the only car built there was the Fiesta, Still going to be lots of Ford chaps coming over to pick out their new company Jags and Astons, and the new X40? medium sized Jag will be a hot topic in the board room. Plus it ooks like a new engine plant is going in at Dagenham

Just a thought.

What with Jaguar at Coventry and the recent acquisition of LandRover at Solihull, has the centre of Ford UK operations moved away from Dagenham/Dunton and wouldn't operating from EGBB or EGBE make more sense?

I'll miss the MDs though, having had more jump seat rides commuting to Koeln than I ever got from the airlines, such nice chaps.

Evening all,

Both VP-BOP and VP-BOO (note the VP not VR!!) where delivered to the US Marshals office in Oklahoma City at the end of Oct/beginning of Nov. to be used for shipping convicts around the USA!!

Check out the ramp between the 14th - 19th December to view the replacments. :) :)

TwoFive,
Question: Whats the Dagenham situation got to do with our European operation?
Answer: Zero, the change in production there has absolutely nothing to do with our European flying.

I'm sure they used to be 'VR' ?
Oops, slipped into spotter mode..
sorry guys, I'll reprimand myself right now..

(VR = Bermudan reg)
not sure where VP is ?

the new ships sound fun, but I liked the
M.D.'s... I'll have to settle for the STN
SAS flights instead..
