Anyone know what the projected delivery schedule is for the 18 777-300ERs on order - I know some aircraft are due at the end of the year? Any info on what routes will the aircraft will be used and in what order of implementation?

Thanks.

First one due in september. Apparently 5 to be in operation by the end of the year.

First route is JFK non-stop, either on the current one, or the new to be started non-stop.

Second route keeps changing but latest is Toronto.

Will there be enough crews to man the new jets?

What will be the repercussions?

There must be some 'fat' in the system at the moment as a result of the increased training rate - quite a few 777 guys/gals are either getting more time off than usual or sitting around on reserve doing nothing. A recent NTC also invited 777 crew to apply for leave in advance or leave without pay over the summer period. That in itself says something about the crew numbers on the fleet.

No doubt the 'slack' will disappear once the 300ERs begin to arrive toward the end of the year. Whether or not the increased number of crew will keep pace with the rate of aircraft arrivals is anyone's guess.

The 777 roster at the moment is great, only 40 hours next month.

I also came across a rumour that the 777ER might do LAX first due to all the 400's tech stopping on the way back.

Can't see the advantage of sending them to AUS.

777 guys have been predicting the 777 would be flying to Oz since I started on bus conversion in 95...still waiting for the first tripla to appear down under!!!!!!

Keep predicting it...you are sure to be right.................eventually!
