Seriously. I enjoy the flying, and there are a good bunch of crews here. The fact is that Jetstar and Virgin are doing a lot of hiring and at the same time SAPL are supposed to be ramping up for 5 more Dash 8s. It is no surprise that they are short of crews.

If you are not in a hurry to fly a jet, and don't mind having an unstable roster (I like it, some hate it,) I'd recommend it for a couple of years.

If you can drag another Dash captain with you, I'll recommend both of you and we'll all go thirds eh? :ok:

Surviellance has had difficulties attracting and retaining staff for a considerable mount of time now. The rest of COBHAM flight Survices Australia is about to endure the same problem.
don't do it, better jobs will be appearing with Jetstar, Virgin Sunstate, Eastern, Tiger, SkyAirWorld etc, why bond yourself a rediculous amount of $$ for a rediculous period of time to a company that hates having to pay their employees.
It affects the management bonus.
If you join now you may be in control of the light switch before long.

so far Erin has the bid at 50/50
Do I hear a 70/30 out there

RENURPP doesn't this apply to most operators of >5700KG Metal in Aus, at least they aren't charging for the Endo.
Any info on the recruitment process wouldn't go a miss ( I might even be prepared to go to 60/40)
Thanks and Regards

PropDuster don't be too sure about that. The way the group is going, it's a negatively geared package, make a contribution to the endorsement, get bonded, B Scale, and sign up for 5 YEARS! :yuk:

True but would you rather be "stuck" in JQ, VB, Skyairworld or Tiger for 3 years or stuck in a D8 at Broome for that time?

Well there's no point comparing it to JQ, VB etc. If you can get a jet job with those guys you're going to take that over flying a Dash 8 regardless. Some may find it an attractive proposition compared to flying a Braz for Airnorth though.

P.S. 30/70.
