Class 1 medical!

I live in Lincolnshire, and wondered if there was anywhere local I could go to get my class 1 medical? I know they do them at Gatwick and was just curious if you get aviation doctors at airports across the country. If so, it would save quite a long journey. I will be grateful for any suggestions. Thank you.

If it's your initial Class 1 medical, Richard, you have to go to the CAA Aeromedical Centre at Gatwick - no options there, I'm afraid, and you have to part with about £ 300 (not sure about the exact figure now but it'll be on the CAA website).

Once you've got your Class 1 you can go to any AME authorised to issue Class 1 medical renewals.
